2. Necessary app data

For accounts, sync, offline use, inventory, shopping lists, meal plans and settings, Nestra processes the data you enter for those features. This necessary processing is separated from optional learning and analytics purposes.

3. Optional analytics and learning purposes

Usage analytics, recommendation improvement, receipt learning, product-catalog, price and recipe-import contributions can be selected separately and are off by default. A previous combined choice is not inferred for newly separated purposes.

4. Receipts, corrections and product mappings

With consent, explicitly confirmed, rejected or corrected item lines, retailer and language, previous and selected stable catalog IDs, quantities and units, and matcher version may be used as learning signals. A mapping is used globally only after matching votes from multiple users; negative votes prevent premature verification. Receipt images are a separate just-in-time purpose. Complete receipts, payment and loyalty data are not part of mapping feedback.

5. Data minimization

Catalog contributions contain product fields such as name, barcode, brand, package size and mapping only. Stock, storage, expiry, private notes and images are excluded. Recommendation learning uses controlled actions, stable IDs, source and model version rather than free content. Candidate displays expire after 30 days, outcome and quantity signals after 365 days, and explicit corrections after 730 days.

6. Withdrawal and contribution deletion

You can switch off optional purposes at any time under Profile > Privacy & Data. You can also delete recommendation, quantity, receipt, recipe-import and catalog learning data there. This does not remove private app data needed for features; account and deletion controls cover those records.

7. Your rights

Subject to the legal requirements, your rights include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent.
